As well as the cover, the programme gives the Programme of events for the day, A photo of the oldest Guy, the Battle Bonfire Boys Traditional Cry and a small note on Collections. The Back cover gives a list of Prizes for the Webster Challenge Cup (Named after Evelyn Webster and the Webster Family Of Battle, owners of Battle Abbey), the Smith Challenge Cup and other costume competitions. |

![]() 1979 - Price: Free Cover Designer: Max Blackman Printers: Unknown This Programm was believed to be the first to use the Max Blackman designed front and back, which remined until 1997, while the Back cover design is still in use today. Higher grade paper was used for the cover sheet. Inside is a smaller then A4 sheet folded given 4 pages Plus Cover. Inside covers were not printed on. Inside sheets were type writer written and feature programme of events for the day, Guy Compettion information, Prizes and information on costume contest, Webster Challenge Cup Jubilee Cup (Believed started in 1977 for the Queen`s Jubilee and just stuck), Smith Challenge Cup and Cliff Pocock Challenge Cup (Named after long time Chairman, Cliff Pocock, who died in 1979). Also a request for Pre-war photos and information. Back Cover features Guy Fawkes `Oldest Guy` design by Max Blackman and Lyrics to the Cry. |

![]() 1981 - Price: Unknown Cover Designer: Max Blackman Printers: Unknown An extra 2 sheets of paper were used inside, creating 4 pages more then before (Making 8 papges plus Cover). Inside covers were not used and Adverts first appeared to help with cost of programme and Bonfire. This was also the first year that charged a fee for the Programme, Which is believed to be 20p but not currently known. The Program Featured the Programme of Events, Note about collectors and amounts rased in 1978, 1979 and 1980. A Note about Badges and the first `Permanent` Enamel being made at a price of £1 to buy. A Lucky Programme prize of a Bottle of Champagne was given to one with the lucky drawn number as stamped on the inside cover. If it was not collected by the 30th of November, an equal value in money was to be given to charity. There was also a list of other bonfires going on, List of Prizes and the Jubilee Cup, Back Cover features Guy Fawkes `Oldest Guy` design by Max Blackman and Lyrics to the Cry. |

Inside covers are used for Adverts. Insides include Programme of Events, List of Comitte Members and Officers. 4 Page history of Battel Bonfire by John Goldsmith. Enamel badges are now up to £1.50. New Large Plastic badges are out for 30p, designed by Max Blackman. Prizes and Jubilee Cup, Webster Challenge Cup, Smith Challenge Cup and Butler Rose-Bowl. |
